Baldinini Trend is the contemporary label that runs alongside the main Baldinini collections, and it aims at a bolder shoe. Patent, metallic and treated finishes appear as readily as plain calf, and the decoration is part of the design rather than something applied over it.

How does European shoe sizing convert for Italian footwear?

Italian brands size on the European scale, so a woman who takes a US 7 usually looks at EU 37, a US 8 at 38 and a US 9 at 39, with UK sizes running roughly two numbers below the US figure. The conversion is approximate rather than fixed, and last shape moves it: a pointed toe often needs a half size more length than a round or square one at the same nominal size.

How should suede footwear be looked after?

Keep it dry and brush it often. A crepe or brass suede brush lifts the nap and takes out surface dirt before it settles, while a suede eraser handles shine and small marks. A protector spray applied before the first wear is the single most useful step, and it needs reapplying after heavy weather. If suede does get soaked, let it dry away from direct heat and brush the nap back up once it is completely dry.
