MEN'S AND WOMEN'S
MSGM
Colour does the talking at MSGM, and the tailoring falls in behind it. The label started in 2009 with acid brights, oversized graphics and sweatshirt shapes, set against a Milan built on quiet suiting, and that contrast is still the point; a print is treated as structure rather than decoration, so a dress reads as a block of colour before it reads as a dress.
The language runs across the whole wardrobe. Logo scripts stretch over the back of a t-shirt or sit small on the chest, denim carries print where another house would leave it plain, and knitwear takes ruffled collars and embroidered lettering. Bags and accessories follow the same rule, finishing an outfit in one confident colour rather than trying to disappear into it.
