Restraint is the whole argument. Medea builds a squared, flat-bottomed leather bag modelled on a plain paper carrier, with two upright handles and a body that stands unsupported; there is no logo plaque, no charm, no contrast trim, and the fittings amount to a magnetic side snap and a strap clip. What registers is the geometry and the quality of the leather, and very little else competes with either.

It reads easily as a men's carry for that reason. The taller sizes take a notebook, a folder and a day's papers without the padded, technical look of a briefcase, and the neutral end of the range keeps the whole thing sober: black, white, grey, deep navy. Many styles come with a removable crossbody strap, and the mini belted wallet repeats the same flat planes and clean seams at pocket scale.

Treat it as a maybe and check the numbers first. The Tall is the deepest bag in the range and is proportioned for a day's carry, but the interior is essentially one open compartment rather than a padded laptop bay, so a slim machine needs a sleeve of its own. Compare the listed height and depth on the product page against your device before ordering, since a squared bag has none of the give at the corners that a soft holdall does.

Is a structured leather tote practical for daily commuting?

It depends how you travel. Short top handles mean the bag rides in the hand or the crook of the arm, which suits a short walk or a car better than a long transit run, though styles with a detachable shoulder strap solve that. The flat base is unusually useful, since the bag stands upright on a desk or a floor instead of tipping over. Structured leather also protects contents better than a soft holdall.
