Essential Antwerp

Colour was the whole argument in an Essentiel Antwerp shirt. Where most men's shirting hides its personality in the weave, the Belgian label put it on the surface — painterly florals, geometric repeats, contrast-collar stripes — and then cut the shirt loose enough through the body that the print read as intended rather than stretched across it. Camp collars and short sleeves suited that thinking particularly well.

Will a printed shirt fade in the wash?

It will hold if you are careful with it. Wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle with a mild liquid detergent, and keep bleach and optical brighteners away from it entirely. Line dry in shade rather than in full sun, which is what actually pulls colour out of a print, and iron on the reverse so the heat never touches the printed surface directly.
