MEN'S AND WOMEN'S
Iro
A biker jacket is where this label makes its case. Lambskin soft enough to fold in on itself is cut against hardware that insists on structure — an asymmetric zip set off-centre, silver-tone teeth, zipped cuffs — so the jacket reads tough at ten paces and light in the hand. That contradiction is the house method, and it turns up everywhere else once you know to look for it.
IRO is a Paris label with rock music in its bloodstream, and the rest of the range works the same seam: blazers cut clean and worn with the sleeves pushed back, slim trousers, washed knits, dresses that stay simple until the fabric does not. Colour keeps low and dusty, black does most of the heavy lifting, and nothing is finished so neatly that it looks precious.
