PB is the house's own initial mark, used as a monogram rather than a printed logo. It appears most often as the PB Labyrinth pattern, jacquard-woven or intarsia-knitted into sweaters, cardigans and knit dresses, embroidered on jersey, and carried onto the plaques and clasps of bags and belts. Because it is usually worked tonally rather than in contrast, it tends to read as texture first and branding second.

The six-button jacket goes back to Pierre Balmain's own tailoring, and the house still builds on it. The current version pairs a squared, structured shoulder with a wide lapel and a close waist, and the six buttons are set in gold- or silver-tone metal, often carrying the house name. Proportion is what carries it: the button placement is what pulls the eye down to the waist.
