Emilio Pucci was an Italian fashion designer and politician. He was born in Naples, Italy in 1914, and later moved to Florence where he established his own fashion house in 1947. Pucci’s designs were characterized by their vibrant colors, bold prints, and flowing silhouettes, often inspired by his love of travel and the Mediterranean landscape. He was particularly known for his iconic “Pucci prints,” which featured bright, kaleidoscopic designs that were instantly recognizable. In addition to his fashion design work, Pucci was also involved in politics and served as a member of the Italian parliament from 1963 to 1972. Pucci passed away in 1992, but the fashion house he founded continues to produce collections of clothing, accessories, and fragrances that are inspired by his legacy. It is now owned by LVMH since 2000.
