Bobbi Brown is an American makeup artist, creator, and founder of the makeup brand, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. Brown began her career in the fashion industry as a makeup artist, and her work soon appeared in major fashion magazines. In 1991, she launched her eponymous makeup brand with a simple philosophy: “makeup should enhance, not hide, one’s natural beauty.” Her line of cosmetics became known for its natural, subtle, and understated looks which were popular with women of all ages. Brown’s company was later acquired by The Estée Lauder Companies, but Brown continued to play an active role in the brand’s creative direction.
